If you follow along, you already know I recently went on a major health journey and lost a lot of weight. It definitely wasn’t easy, and I had to learn a lot along the way. One thing I recently realized is what a total luxury it is to own a popcorn maker, lol! Back when I was in the middle of my health journey, my funds were seriously tight, so I was making all my popcorn on the stovetop, which I suck at lol. It worked, but it was nothing compared to my new Mainstays popcorn machine I just picked up from Walmart.

I am by no means a popcorn machine expert and certainly not a pro when it comes to making popcorn on the stovetop, lol. However, I can tell you that spending $25 on this little machine completely leveled up my snack game!

Between the new machine, the savory parmesan ranch seasoning, and that magical Theater Style popcorn spray butter, I am one seriously happy snacker. If you are looking for the ultimate low calorie snack that is loaded with flavor you can’t go wrong with this easy parmesan ranch popcorn recipe.

Easy Parmesan Ranch Popcorn: 10 Minute Low-Calorie Snack

I originally shared this easy parmesan ranch popcorn in 2016 on Jenns Blah Blah Blog. While the recipe has been updated, you still just need a few ingredients to make it happen. And it’s sure to send your taste buds doing the happy dance. Oh, it’s not just a delicious low calorie snack option, it’s also super duper affordable and easy peasy to make.

Okay, it’s seriously affordable when you do the math because you can grab a bag of Jolly Time Pop Corn for under three dollars, and there are 27 servings included in the bag. Chances are you already have the seasonings in your cabinet, but even if you don’t, they are super affordable. Plus, the spray butter is under $5, and it’s another item that will carry you through a lot of snacking.

  • Layer and spray: Place about half of the popped popcorn into a gallon-sized baggie and spray it generously with the spray butter. (Seriously, this Theater Style popcorn spray butter does magical things for the taste and helps the seasoning actually stick to the popcorn instead of settling at the bottom. It’s been a total game-changer for me!)
  • Season and shake: Add half of your ranch seasoning and parmesan cheese to the baggie, seal it, and shake it up until the popcorn is evenly coated.
  • Repeat: Add the remaining popcorn to the bag, spray it again with the butter, toss in the rest of your seasonings, and give it one final, good shake.
  • Serve and enjoy: Pour the parmesan ranch popcorn into a bowl (or just eat it straight out of the baggie—no judgment here!) and enjoy!
