I have been in a place where I desperately want to fix up my home, but due to financial constraints, I haven’t been able to get the necessary repairs done. While many of the larger repairs my home needs won’t happen overnight, I’ve realized that quotes are powerful seeds we plant into our minds and what we look around and see influences our overall way of thinking and the feeling of our home. While I may not be able to tackle these repairs right now, there are small affordable things I can do to make my home feel better.

This quote speaks to me in so many ways, and I still remember reading it for the first time. It inspired me to begin my own imperfect journey: quitting smoking, losing weight, improving my mental health, and stepping into the unknown with my best foot forward. And, I am still applying this way of thinking with both my personal life and my professional life and getting the ball rolling with my blog again.
