Easy Halloween Chocolate Dipped Pretzels: Bats & Jacks
If you’re strapped for time but still want to create a fun, festive snack that doesn’t disappoint in the flavor department, you can’t go wrong with these Easy Halloween Chocolate Dipped Pretzels. Honestly, separating the jacks from the bats and waiting for the chocolate to set is probably the most time-consuming part of the whole recipe!

Ingredients:
- Bats & Jacks Pretzels
- Orange candy melts
- Black candy melts
- Green candy melts
- Edible eyes (small)
- Coconut oil (optional, for thinning candy melts)
Directions:
Prep the baking sheet: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. This step is essential, especially when you need to move the coated pretzels before they are fully dry.
Sort the pretzels: Separate the Jacks from the Bats into two distinct piles.
Melt the black candy: Place the black candy melts into a melting pot with a little coconut oil. Allow them to melt, stirring occasionally until smooth.

Dip the bats: Dip the bat pretzels into the melted black candy, fully coating each one.

Add the eyes: Place the coated bats onto the parchment paper. Before the chocolate sets, gently press two edible eyes onto each bat, then allow them to dry completely.
Melt the orange candy: Place the orange candy melts into a clean melting pot with coconut oil. Heat and stir occasionally until melted and smooth.

Dip the jacks: Dip the Jack O’Lantern pretzels into the orange melted candy until fully coated, then place them on the parchment paper to dry.

Add green stems (optional): Place the green candy melts into a clean melting pot with coconut oil and stir until smooth. Using a toothpick, paint the stem of each Jack O’Lantern pretzel green. (Note: While optional, adding green to the stems gives them a great extra pop!)
Allow everything to dry: Allow everything to dry completely and enjoy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to add coconut oil to the almond bark?
No, you do not have to add coconut oil, it’s totally optional. In my opinion it does give it a smoother texture, making the consistency easier to work with than without it.
Can you add other types of oil?
Yes, but be sure it’s not an oil that will leave a lingering flavor being.
Do you have to use a melting pot to melt the chocoalte?
No, BUT it’s great for keeping the chocolate melted while you work. I have been using my Wilton candy melt pot for YEARS and it’s still going strong, if you do a lot with candy melts or almond bark I highly suggest getting one.
