Are you looking for a fun DIY project that won’t break the bank? These DIY Santa & Reindeer Mason Jars might be just what you need! They are a simple, hands-on holiday crafting project where you can turn everyday mason jars into easy holiday gift ideas, festive candy jars, or adorable holiday decor for your house. I filled mine to the tippity top with sweet treats, but don’t worry—even after the candy is gone, these jars double as the cutest holiday home decor!

Before we get started, I want to send a huge thank you to our friends at Hershey’s for inspiring this fun project and giving us an early peek at all of their scrumptious holiday candy! Just look at that amazing holiday lineup—I was a fan of pretty much all of it, lol! I do have a few standout favorites, though: the Hershey’s Caramels were incredible with a little bit of salt on top of each chocolate-covered piece, the Snickerdoodle Cookie Kisses were OMG delish, and the Reese’s Reindeer Mix was absolute YUMMO!
Thank you Hershey’s for making this girl’s sweet tooth do one heck of a happy dance as well as inspiring this easy holiday gift idea. Also, this post does contain affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase using these links we may receive compensation.

DIY Santa & Reindeer Mason Jars (Easy Holiday Gift Ideas)
These DIY Santa & Reindeer Mason Jars were super fun to make and make some great festive decor, but while I was making them, I realized something: you could totally use smaller mason jars, fill them with holiday Hersey’s Kisses or your favorite Hershey holiday candy and make these as gifts for everyone at the office, friends, family, and more! They are super fun, festive, thoughtful, and such an affordable gift that can be used for years to come. I use mason jars all the time, so I typically have plenty of the 32-ounce jars around, but you can buy smaller mason jars for about $1 a piece. They typically come in packs of 12, which means you can make a dozen affordable holiday candy jars for friends and family that they can enjoy for years to come.

Reindeer Mason Jars
Now, imagine this: one of these Reindeer Mason Jars on everyone’s desk at work. I know, stop it right there—that is too much festive cuteness going on! Fill it with some candy, and we are on another level of holiday awesomeness right now.

Supplies
32 Ounce Mason Jar
Large wiggly eyes
Brown spray paint
Clear spray paint
Gold pipe cleaners
Red glitter Styrofoam ball
Red glitter ribbon
Super glue
Directions:
Spray a coat of brown spray paint on the outside of the mason jar and the lid. Allow it to dry completely, then apply a second coat. Once the second coat is dry, spray a thin coat of clear spray paint over the mason jar and allow it to dry completely.

Attach two large wiggly eyes to the center front of the mason jar using super glue.

Use super glue to attach the red glitter Styrofoam ball right in the center below the eyes for the nose.

Using your gold pipe cleaner create and antler. I found the best way to do this was to create a loop where you wanted each point to be on the antler and twist it together really tight.

Repeat and create the second antler.

Next you’ll glue each antler on opposite sides of the lid using the super glue and cover the outside of the lid by super gluing the red glitter ribbon around the outside of the lid.

Put the lid on, toss some candy in it. If you are gifting a gift tag and BAM enjoy your super cute reindeer mason jars.

Santa Mason Jar
If you thought the DIY Reindeer Mason Jars was easy peasy, just wait until you find out how easy this project is. This DIY Santa Mason Jar is so darn cute and festive, and it’s filled with all kinds of sweet Hershey’s Kisses! It’s such a fun way to decorate for the holiday season—and let’s be real, it would look crazy cute on a friend’s desk at work too, wouldn’t it?

Supplies
32 ounce mason jar
Red spray pain
Clear spray paint
Ribbon (black and gold with glitter) or a premade ribbon like the one I found at the Dollar Tree.
Directions:
Start by spray painting the mason jar and lid red. Allow it to dry completely, then apply a second coat. Once the second coat is fully dry, spray a thin coat of clear spray paint over the jar and allow it to dry completely.

For the Belt:
If you found a premade Santa bow (like the one shown in the photo above I found at Dollar Tree), remove the belt and buckle from it.
If you are using standard ribbon instead, cut a piece of black ribbon to fit around the middle of the mason jar, and cut four small pieces of gold ribbon to assemble your own belt buckle.

Attach your gold buckle right over the center of the black ribbon using glue so it looks just like Santa’s belt!

Super glue the red glitter ribbon around the outside of the lid. Allow to dry.

Fill with candy, if you are gifting you can add a gift tag or just have an awesome festive candy jar for the holiday season.
